How will you treat my knee pain?
After a thorough evaluation in which we determine the cause of your knee pain, we will get to work mapping out your treatment plan. Here at Scott Wagner Integrated Medicine we offer a variety of effective non-invasive and non-surgical solutions to help you combat pain. Here are some of the treatment options we offer for knee pain.
Custom Bracing
By wearing custom bracing provided by our medical professionals, we can help alleviate pain and repetitive stress by stabilizing and protecting your knee joint.
Trigger point injections
If you are suffering from arthritic knees, one way to alleviate the pain is through trigger point injections. Trigger point injections often contain a corticosteroid that, when injected into certain areas of the knee, can reduce swelling and inflammation while helping tense, painful muscles relax. If the cause of your knee pain is muscular, trigger point injections may help.
Hyaluronic acid injections
Hyaluronic acid injections are also used to treat knee pain associated with osteoarthritis. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance that can improve fluid within the knee joints to make it easier for joints to move and slide together rather than rub together. If you’re not finding relief through icing or simple pain relievers then HA injections may be right for you.
Non-Invasive Procedures
Non-surgical alternative treatments are an outpatient procedure used to ease pain and encourage healing. During your appointment, your Scott Wagner Integrated Medicine provider administers a series of injections into a damaged or diseased joint or area of soft tissue.
