Dr. James E. Hicks, D.C.
Dr. James E. Hicks is a highly skilled and experienced chiropractic physician who has dedicated his practice to helping patients using conservative, active, and holistic therapies for the reduction and resolution of musculoskeletal complaints for over 20 years. As a very physically active teenager and adult, he began having a daily upper extremity pain complaint that later developed into a frozen shoulder condition that persisted without resolution from taking prescription medication from his HMO physician.
At that time, he began to explore alternatives and was introduced to his first chiropractor who helped him eliminate his pain and return his function in a very short period of time. He was introduced to a way of natural care through the use of chiropractic, rehab, exercise, diet, nutrition, acupuncture, and physiotherapies. He was able to later take care of himself, through daily stretches, a proper diet, adequate rest, and stress reduction measures taught by his chiropractor.
His subsequent passion became providing education and coaching for patients struggling with acute and chronic pain by becoming a chiropractor himself. Dr. Hicks truly believes that removing the structural, emotional, nutritional, toxic, and electromagnetic interferences, rebalances the body back to optimal long-term health and longevity. Dr. Hicks has taught his patients that a comprehensive integrative approach of combining medical, rehab, nutrition, and conservative chiropractic care provides the most optimal resolution of their complaints without surgical intervention.
Dr. James Hicks is from Junction City, Kansas. He received his Bachelor’s Degree (BS) from the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. After earning his degree, Dr. Hicks served in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer on active duty and in the U.S. Army Reserves. Following his military tours of duty, he worked as a mid-level manager with Procter & Gamble until he decided to become a chiropractor. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree with cum laude honors from Cleveland Chiropractic College. He is currently licensed chiropractor in Virginia and North Carolina with past licenses in Kansas, Ohio, and Georgia.
